I was forced to hire an attorney because Santander refused to send my title. I paid my final payment to Citifinancial on 7/14. I received a letter from Santander claiming i still owed 4065.00 I disputed this alleged debt, and contacted santander to send me documentation relating to this amount and what it is for. I was told that this was for deferred payments, I replied, send me all the deferred agreements with my signature, so I can verify this? No Ms Bricket replied they were verbal, OK send me copies of the tapes i asked, again No I would have to sopenia them!
I then verbally requested a copy of my title, to insure it was a clear title, a copy of the contract that I signed and a detailed account of, to the penny every payment, fees, late charges and how the interest was applied. The copy of the contract was very small, but clearly has been altered. The title has gaps in the history and Citi is not showing as the lien holder. They have harassed my family, threaten to have the police at my door, contacted my 73 year old mother claiming to be an investigator for consumer protection agency, and I needed contact them at the number she was given. On 4/15 a letter was sent for verification of this, now 4265.46 alleged amount that is owed to Citi. As Santander is the servicer for them. Well as of 6/11 there has been no response and no title.
