My tickets to the BCS Championship game were sold on December 8. Stub Hub has acknowledged that the purchaser received the tickets. I still have NOT received the funds from the sale of my tickets. They did waive their fee due to their mistake. But have not paid me the $4,700 they owe me. It is now 49 days since they received the funds and their purchasers received my tickets—BUT I have not received my funds. Are they going out of business? Their response to this situation is set forth below. This is now the second time they have said I have to wait another 14 days to receive what they owe me. I even gave them other options to pay me—such as Federal Expresing my check or wire transferring same. Their most recent response follows:
I apologize for any frustration this has caused. I reviewed your sale on
order 61142428 and was able to see that our Payments team re-issued your
payment, in the sum of $4760 as of 1/22. When re-issuing payment, we do
need to wait for the initial payment to void before we can process a new
payment. From 1/22, it will take 2-5 business days for this payment to
process.
We are unable to hand-deliver or wire-transfer your payment to you.
However, I noticed that Andrea was able to speak with you to verify your
mailing address. As soon as the check is mailed, you will receive email
notification. From the date of that email, you can expect your check to
arrive within 7-10 business days. For the delay, we have also issued an
additional check in the amount of $840, which was mailed out on 1/9.
I have also asked a member of our Executive Customer Care team to follow
up with you to ensure this issue is resolved as quickly as possible.
