I go a prescription from my doctor for Bayer Contour Test Strips. Took it to the Pharmacy and was told my co-pay for these strips was $98 and some change. I thought I would have the same co-pay as my One Touch strips $20. I am on an insulin pump and need my meter to talk to my pump. I called Caremark and was told some supplies are covered some are not and Contour Test Strips not covered. Now I am not a Doctor but shouldn't all supplies be covered? Does Caremark really get to pick and choose what they cover for Diabetics? Testing my blood sugar is not a choice for me I have to do it. And because they won't cover it I can not buy them so for the first time in my life I will go to bed tonight without testing my sugar. Very angry with Caremark.
