The last week of August my Endroconist sent a prescription to Walgreen for Test Strips for Diabetes. The store said the doctor had to fill out a form which was sent to him and they never got it. I personally walked it through to the doctor and back to Walgreens. This was done and kept being done (3 times). I called Medicare and they told me there was not problem. I was without the test strips for 6 weeks!!! Kept calling medicare and they said no problem!!! Finally, I was told that Walgreens had been paid for the strips on 9/4/09. I called Walgreens and they checked into it. Lo and behold I could pick up the prescription!!! Only after I told them that they had been paid for it on 9/4/09. Their corporate office screwed up big time. Needless to say, I do not shop at Walgreens any more and I have notifie Medicare of the stores terrible services. I feel they were trying to get paid without filling the prescription. I tell everyone I know not to shop at Walgreens and will continue to do so. They are not only causing a health harzard with diabetics, but only God knows what else they are doing to people. I have also posted a complaint with Medicare! I hope they lose the medicare contract.
