Seat Module causes battery to die

After much research, I've discovered that the left (drivers side) seat module never goes to sleep, thus draining the battery within a day or two. This is, apparently, a common complaint, but in addition to that, this car has had multiple computer control problems, all of which are in the same circuit as the seat module. For example, I've had the side-mirror memory fail (random movement of the side mirrors) and the steering wheel "easy access" fail to work randomly. Nobody at Vonhousen even mentioned the possibility of a faulty seat module, but they had no problem wasting hours of my time and a significant amount of my money testing and replacing parts. The best case was that the mirrors don't move on their own very much. They also replaced other components that were less clearly involved with this module, such as the heater head unit going out of auto setting randomly and sunroof opening by itself at night while parked during a rainstorm! My suspicion is that the seat module was having problems all along, but since I was driving the car every day, the battery didn't die as a result. Now that I'm not driving every day, the problem became obvious.
