Ralphpaul.com Ralph Paul, www.GuitarMadeEasy.com, Ralph Paul Guitar Made Easy as seen on TV using ripoff order fulfillment of customerstatus.com

I saw an infomercial for the Ralph Paul - Guitar Made Easy product. I have not played guitar in awhile and thought the products might be helpful. The television ad gives you a phone number to call to order the product. The number connects you to an answering device where you are required to say and then spell all of your order information. They also take your credit card information before entering your choices. I say choices, because as you will see below, the special deal on TV is the bait, for a bait and switch scam.

I placed the order at 2:45 CST on Monday 1/7.in the beginning of the order process you are told not to disconnect until you have submitted the entire order, otherwise the order will not confirm (LIE # 1). I started entering the order data and then we got to more special orders ($19.95 plus S&H) for each special you have to accept or reject; rock and roll DVDs, country, gospel, and then romance ballads. The offer on TV only includes one of three for each of these techniques. If you say that you do not want the special it tries to force you into changing your mind. You are asked how many of the products you want to order and if you say "NONE" it gives you one. After a couple of tries I learned that the answer was "ZERO".

After a couple of these I figured out what was happening and believed that I could make changes to the final order prior to confirmation and submission (LIE # 2). After you get through the products you are told you have won a trip to the Bahamas and stay on the line. While the machine was trying to transfer me I got disconnected. I did not want a trip to the Bahamas anyway.

I did a search for Ralph Paul to get the customer service line so that I could make the changes to the order that were required and that is when I noticed another complaint. I read the report and immediately called the customer service number 1-800-635-2386. When I spoke to the CS rep he told me it was too soon and that he could not find the order. He suggested that I go to customerstatus.com and make changes there. That did not work so I started putting together my chain of documentation knowing this was a scam and I would need to fight to get my money back.

At 3:04 CST on Monday 1/7 I sent the customer service reps an email telling them that I was disconnected prior to confirmation and submission and that if they could not get back to me and let me know they would work with me to make the corrections prior to shipment, I wanted to cancel. I gave them until 3:04 CST on Tuesday 1/8 to acknowledge my email.

I called the bank to discuss the matter and they saw a transaction for $59 posted at 2:45 on Monday and then immediately reversed. I thought the matter was resolved. It seemed that the order did not go through when the phone was disconnected prior to confirmation and submission.

On Wednesday, 1/9, I received an email from Amy (customerstatus.com) saying they could not find the order so please give them more details (name, address, state, zip). I sent back an email syaing that I wanted the order cancelled.

On Thursday morning I received a confirmation email for $119. I called the customer service reps and they said they could not resolve the matter because the product had already shipped (LIE # 3). They claim it is shipped and there is no tracking number or information available.

I have called the bank and sent them the chain of emails outling their scam, and screen prints from some of my search activites, etc.

All of the reports you are seeing on this site are factual and true. Ralph Paul and his scam team are ripping people off. Their credibility is worthless. It seems they lied to me and I would presume to others as well.

He can probably teach you how to play the guitar... It seems some on the Internet dispute that as well. He claims to have a 30 day no questions asked return policy... I bet that it is very difficult to return the products. The address for returns is Guitar Made Easy, 300 Returns Road, Wallingford, CT 06493. What a joke... They get so many returns that had to name a road for the return address (USPS). Even if you do get some of your money back you are still liable for shipping and handling for products that you did not order. Theres a big difference between the $59 starting point ($39 plus S&H), for the products as described on TV and the $119 they are billing me now.

You should avoid Ralph Paul and his scam team at all costs. He claims it is not a scam... He is either an uninformed pawn in the scam or is a deluded ring leader.
