My name is August Valcik, and I am submitting a complaint to you against Aqua Texas, Inc, 762 W. Lancaster Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010-3489. The complaint I have is that this water company holds a monopoly over providing water service to my residence. I live in a Homeowners Association, where waters wells cannot be drilled, and Aqua Texas is the only provider of water. I have for the past 6 months tried to get them to provide me water to no avail. I have submitted a connection application twice, the first was lost? Since then they have pad locked my meter, and I have unlocked the padlock because I need water. They have made no attempt in contacting me why they will not provide me water service. Recently they pulled the meter with no explanation.
I am considered a senior citizen, on a fixed income and I live alone. At present, I cannot cook meals for myself because I have no water, to cook with or clean my dishes with. I cannot bathe, nor can I flush my commode, again because of no water. I am living in an unsanitary and unhealthy conditions, all because Aqua Texas refuses to provide me water and no explanation why? I have no other avenues in trying to get water, because again they hold the monopoly of providing water to to my HOA.
I would like for this complaint to you, to become a matter of record in the event my health fails because of this situation. I believe this an unfair practice of Aqua Texas and this should be looked into by your office.
