This individual was my outfitter and fur tanner, I shot a 246 pound black bear, which he did not remove any of the insides of the bear in the field and not till the next morning because he was more interested in retrieving the gahlbladder, instead of caring for my animal, it wa 72 degrees that night he left my bear on the back of a pick-up truck with no ice until 9:30 the next morning another warm day, he tanned my trophy hide which i was planning on doing a full mount, when i removed my hide from its package and opened it up I was very upset to see 15 areas of fur missing also it was fleshed so thin its transparent in areas my taxadermist recomended not mounting it, I have 2 years invested with his service and 2,400 dollars and a hide that is junk. He yelled at me over the phone stating it was not his fault and said I got 200 dollars of your deposit for this year and dont come back here again, he was more interested in a gahlbladder instead of the proper care of my animal i hold him 100% responsible for my ruined hide, selling of the bladders is illegal in many states i hope Maine opens up their eyes and puts a stop to the legal sale its good xtra cash tax free for him and i come out on the loosing end with a 2400 dollar piece of crap hide, yes i am pissed off and should be i dont recommend this guide to anyone who wants a trophy hunt with a proffesssional guide the guy should not have a guide license...
