The FedEx driver claims he left the small package under the doormat of the building. The instructions on the package told him the unit number as well as the electronic keyless entry to get into the building to leave it inside the entryway (in the event nobody was home.) The driver DID not ring any buzzers, did not attempt to leave the package inside the building as instructed, but claims he left it outside under the front door mat. (seriously?!) Here's is where it becomes unbelievable: In addition to his own delivery instructions, I left a note was on the mailbox addressed to the FedEx driver to ring all the units in the building since 3 out of the 4 units in the building had people home and could buzz the delivery man into the building. I was home the entire day waiting for this package to be delivered since the FedEx tracking notice claimed it would be delivered by 3 pm. NO ONE heard any buzzer ring at 3:32 pm when the FedEx person said he left it on the doorstep. So rather than attempt to ring the buzzer or follow any delivery instructions - the driver just decides it's easier to leave it under the doormat??? Seriously? Am I really supposed to believe this? FedEx is so unprofessional - I'm not a big fan of the USPS but after this experience I will always go with them rather than FedEX.
