I took a day off to wait for a FedEx Home Delivery package. I heard the doorbell, and when I opened the door the FedEx truck was driving away. Now I cannot collect the package at all, as the driver works under contract and the FedEx depot will be closed by the time he returns.
Customer service said there is no way they can contact the driver. Since it is Saturday, retrieving it myself is out of the question. They suggested that perhaps on Tuesday they might be able to reach him, and then I could pick it up on my own.
Besides the stress, that box contains a recorder I needed for a job, which I now cannot do.
