First, I thought I called the W Hotel when I called the number which came up in an Internet search, not realizing I had called Reservation-Desk.com. Secondly, they told me that the W hotel was full, but they would be able to get a room for me elsewhere only 4 blocks away. Then, after talking to my colleague who was able to book at the W the same day, I got suspicious. Lo and behold the W had 170 rooms available. This third party booking agency obviously is working some sort of scam.
