The home in which i lived in for 9years was total electric. The apartment complex I just moved into using gas for the heat and hot water. I set up an appointment (paid my deposit-which they were QUICK to take) and set up an appoitment for the next day. I was told that someone would call before they arrived to assure that someone would be there to let the technician in. I was 5 minutes late and DID NOT receive a call. I called Alagasco, they said sorry I'd have to wait til monday. I explained that i did not receive a call, they said it was a courtesy, but it's part of their service. The customer service ladies were very rude, i was on hold forever until a ruder Mr. Hernandez picked up the line. I have two small children and can not go without heat or hot water for 2 days and 3 nights. They said that they do not have the abilities to contact their technicians. If my service was not done, then everyone elses that was scheduled for the day was moved up, SURELY they could have fit mine in. Alagasco has a monopoly on this service. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ELSE to go to for this service. If there was I surely would have chosen a different company. I only plan on staying at the apartment complex for 1 year, after that, the home i move in will ABSOLUTELY be all electric.
