Yet another disappointment

I called TWC during the week of 5/13 to request a quote for a home phone since I already have cable and Internet with them. The sales rep told me that she could bundle everything (cable, Internet, and phone) for $86.41 a month. I agreed and the install was set for 5/26 evening appointment. The rep called and said he could not make it, (well after I had already waited) and we agreed to the next morning 5/27/12; 8am-10am appointment.

The tech (Mike) gets here, installs two boxes and my house phone and then says, “oh by the way, you only get 24 channels with this package.” I told him that was less than the channels I already get. He mad e some calls and it was discovered that I was not supposed to be getting the Basic cable when I was only paying for broadcast (not my mistake). So he says all he can do is an upgrade for a few bucks a month more, and I agreed. Then, these were not the right boxes, so he had to take them down, by now it’s already going on 10:30AM, and I was leaving to go out of town that day.
He’d already hooked up the digital phone box, and said he would try to get me a THIRD appointment for Tuesday, May 29. The rep on the phone says it could not be done on Tuesday because of some crappy reason about some circuits or something. Then he said he could not make changes to the account because I was a whopping $17.00 past due amount. I offered to pay it, he couldn’t take it for another crappy reason. The whole thing ended with me just about to scream my head off, it was AFTER 11 am. I was assured by the tech that I would NOT lose my home phone service, but when I got back home TODAY, May 29, my house phone was off. I tried to call TEC twice, and got disconnected twice. I had to leave home to be able to make those phone calls because my cell phone does not get a signal in this new apartment, and I was expecting a VERY important phone call.

TWC customer service is the biggest running joke of all time, and it’s so disappointing not to have any other options in this area. This is just the last incident with TWC, there have been So many others, like when I wanted my cable & Internet simply transferred from my old address to my new one. I absolutely HATE this company now, and feel they give customers their behinds to kiss because they know we have no choice but to deal with it.
