This is a case of knowing better but still going ahead. I had cable service with Media 1, which became AT&T Broadband which then changed to Comcast. The service with the first 2 names of this company was very very poor. So I went with satellite, then Comcast put in the cable to my new area and after some months I decided to go back to cable to get away from the disruptions caused by weather with satellites.
I was with Comcast for 4 months and their service is just so-so but their customer service is pretty near ZERO, an hour waiting to get through to someone on the phone. So I said 'You are fired'! I am back with DISH TV but this outfit can't even get their rear ends in gear to pick up their own equipment.

Dear President Burke:
I dropped your cable service due to poor service and unresponsive customer service.
I arranged to have service terminated today, Feb. 28th, and a tech was to pick up your 2 boxes between 5 and 8 PM.
I had phoned your CS people to see if the appointment could be moved up as I had something to do this evening. I was told that no other appointments were available so I made sure to stay home between 5 and 8 PM.
At 8:20 I phoned your customer service people to ask why no one had come to pick up the cable boxes. I found that your tech had been here sometime during the day and turned off the service at the street. He did NOT come to the house to pick up the cable boxes!
This is a perfect example of what crappy service Comcast delivers. I am very pleased to be rid of you. You were no good as AT&T Broadband or when you were Media 1.
I am now advised that someone will be here to pick up the boxes between 11-2pm on Tuesday March 7th. I will leave them by the front door as no one will be home and I am absolutely NOT going to waste any more of my time on your pathetic company.
