I purchased a Black Diamond ring for my daughter for the amount of $300.00 from Amazon.com. I received it and was not exactly pleased but she loved it. Just 3 months later, the stone fell out so I took it to a local jeweler who would not work on it saying it was fake and to return it. I called and after getting the runaround from a host of Amazon teenagers, I was offered a $20 credit!
Their website misrepresented this product and they know it. A 30 Day return policy when a product it clearly defective should not apply.
Originally, I was expecting a company of this stature to take this seriously and offer my money back. A 100% refund is what I was expecting but was willing to negotiate this and told them so. At a minimum, I want a check or even store credit for $200.00 to satisfy me. If I use the credit to buy books, then there's no one to blame if the book stinks.
