Freedownloadnetwork ripoff fraudulent billing

This company's internet ad leads you to believe that you are signing up for a month of free music downloads. Above the submit button are the words "$1 monthly, download now." When you enter your credit card information, it takes you directly to the site. You are not given an opportunity to view what you are purchasing and cancel if it is not to your understanding.

When I went back to the home page, I found the words "four year access, " but there was no explanation and no link to these words. They were just at the top of the page. I was left to assume that is was possible that I had just signed up for 48 months instead of the one month I thought I was authorizing. Again, nothing in their ad stated that you had to sign up for 48 months. So, I am left with a $48 charge instead of $1.

I have spoken with their representative and received no satisfaction. I was unable to speak with a supervisor or anyone in management. You may reach them by email only. When I pressed their representative to enter his own credit card information so that he could show me where you had an opportunity to cancel the transaction, he stated, "No, I do not want to be charged $48." If their site works as they state and you are given an opportunity to cancel the transaction, why would he be leery of entering his own credit information.

He is leery of entering his own information because he knows that once you hit submit, you are not given an opportunity to look over your purchase information and submit or cancel. Once you enter your credit card information, they charge $48 to your account.
