I had signed up with Dish in July when my husband and i moved into our first place together. When I spoke with customer service not only was I given a price for a discounted rate but also told that after the 3 month period my bill would only go up by $20, I was also supposed to get Blockbuster by Mail free for 30 days. Now I cancelled my service the other night after speaking with Ivan at their executive office (customer service transferred me) due to his poor attitude, and him not showing any willingness to give me what I was told my services would be. He basically offered to keep my bill at the same price but it would remove ALL of my movie channels... NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR!!! He then said he was going to charge our debit card for the balance and termination fees... Hell no... I told him that not only was my account removed from auto pay because they NEVER took the payment when they were supposed to and I removed the authorization on my credit card like 2 months ago so he better not charge my card or I would take legal action and bring him up on criminal charges for credit card fraud. I have every intention of sending a detailed report to the BBB because not only was I lied to about what my service and costs were going to be, but they were planning on making an UNAUTHORIZED charge to my debit card and I NEVER got my 90 days of free blockbuster which technically they still owe me and I think I should still be able to get it. They are a joke and ought to be sued for false advertisement, breach of contract and attempting to make unauthorized charges to people's credit card.
