I recently switched from Direct TV to Dish network because I received a promo letter in the mail that offered the americas top 250 channels for about $49 a month and that included 3 movie channels for free for 3 month, free installation and 1 year free blockbuster movie pass.
After I signed up, I noticed that my bill showed the $10 charge for the movie pass so I contacted them. I was also upset because some channels that were supposed to be included in the american top 250 package, were not available to me.
The customer service person (one of 3 that I have now spoken to) tried to fix this for me, however, no one was able to resolve myt issue and they keep referring my case to promo management. So now they took the $10 movie pass charges away - however, I no longer have the movie pass either and apparently won't get it either! And I see online after a google search that the offer is still out there by dish network to get 12 month free blockbuster movie pass. How can they be allowed to make such an offer and than not come through with it?
My next step will be to contact the BBB and I want out of my contract with them too for not honoring their offer! Shame on such a scam!
