No rebates or warranty service on 3 year contract. Goodbye $2800

I ordered a Dell laptop over the telephone in October. Great service. I even opted to upgrade several of the standard features, and ordered an all-in-one printer. Gave them my account number, and received everything I ordered.

I was later contacted by Dell and given the "opportunity" to upgrade to a 3 year warranty on my laptop (of course at additional costs), but based upon the previous experiences with Dell, why not? Here's my account number, debit my account.

I first had problems with the mouse pad. It was and still is responding erratically. I contacted Dell for assistance. None of their suggestions worked. After several attempts to get the problem corrected, I learned to work around the problem.

Next I contacted Dell because I was not getting any sound out of the laptop speakers. After a couple of E-mails, I finally contacted them by phone.

While talking to the technician, we went through some troubleshooting proceedures and determined that the motherboard needed to be replaced. He even gave me a case approval number to give to the vendor picking up my unit.

A week later, I called to inquiry about service and was told it was not processed.

Each time I've contacted Dell by E-mail telling them what problems i'm having, I'm contacted bt another person, asking me what problems I'm having.

If they switched their service department with their sales department, they would sell fewer computers, but have great service.
