Violated own Credit Card Policy

I've been doing business with this company for four (4) years. Starting in September the company began to get non-responsive. I ordered a $1500. Oo PC on 9-17-03 hich was supposed to ship in 10 days.in early Oct I called and asked where it was and was told that a monitor was on backorder. I called again a few days later and was promised delivery and still nothing. When I received my September AMEX bill I found that MicroPro had charged for the PC on 9-24-03 in violation of their own policy which clearly states that charges won't be entered until the product shipped.

I spoke to a customer service representative who assured me the order would be cancelled and sent me a confirming email. I called American Express and gave them all details including copies of my email correspondence. To date MicroPor has refused to credit my Amex account. They no longer answer any phones in any department... The Sales Department line says they are closed. Do not order anything from MicroPro using a credit card. I will probably have to bring legal action against the company, if they remain in business that is.
