I purchased Khypermedia Brand CDR 48x 80m 100pk Spindle UPC code:#637665232544.
The rebate for showed the purchase was to be made between the dates of 07/27/03 and 08/30/03. My receipt shows the date of purchase as 08/04/03 (8 days after the beginning date and 26 days before the ending date) Also, a requirement was to mail the rebate within 7 days of purchase. Purchase made on 8/04 and was mailed by USPostal Service on 8/08 (4days) by Delivery Confirmation.
So I purchase the correct item, within the correct dates and mailed off the rebate within the required time. Plus I included the correct UPC Code CUTOUT, Cash Reg. Receipt, ect.
They send me a Post Card informing me my purchase was not made with the required dates for this rebate.
I submitted them a copy of everything. (I've learn to scan everthing on rebates) They came back an informed me my submission was being recondsidered. (OF COURSE IT WAS BEING RECONDSIDERED, THEY HAD HOPE I HADN'T KEEP COPIES.) This is the second time OFFICE MAX tried to cheat me out of a rebate.
They decided I had submitted everything correctly, and informed me they were going to send me my rebate check of $8. The rebate was to have be $20 ($8 from OFFICE MAX and $12 from the Khypermedia.) But both rebate addresses were the same (just different department #, both had the same PO box of 028516 in Miami, Fl)
