My fiance and I ordered Halloween costumes from this site using my debit card. At the completion of the transaction, there is a button marked "continue". I hit continue, but noticed there was some smaller text below the button. I was taken to the Reservation Rewards site where they wanted me to enter additional data. I knew right away that this site was not legit. Luckily, my suspicion didn't end there.
Normally, you'd back out and just assume that since you didn't fill out any information, you're good to go, but I looked at the HTML data and there was a long encrypted section which I assumed (correctly it turns out) contained all my credit and contact information. Luckily, I had saved the page with the "Continue" button and read just below the button "By clicking above you agree the contact and credit card information you provided today can be forwarded to the gift provider".
I already knew what would come up when I looked for "Reservation Rewards" on RIP OFF and of course found 72 entries for this scam.
That's right, simply hit a button and they've got your credit info and can bill you for whatever they want.
Since I didn't want some scam company to have my info, I was forced to call my card in lost, and will have to wait a week for a new card. I hope www.monetboutique.com realizes what a scam company Reservation Rewards is, especially now that their company's name is associated with it here. You lie down with dogs, you'll get up with fleas I guess.
