I have a new baby on the way, so due to time constraints I handle most of my business online. As you may imagine, money is kind of tight. On a whim, I applied for a payday loan online. Today (10-20-09) I recieved an email notification from my bank. Upon accessing my bank online I discovered that a debit of $33.98 was posted to my account, making me liable for over $60 in overdraft fees! Of course I immediately called my bank and was informed that it was a "theft protect service" from www.idrecovercs.com, a company I had never heard of, and most certainly had not given permission to access my account. When I called the "customer service" number (provided to me by my bank) I was asked to press 1 to speak to a representative. When I did so I was directed to an automated message informing me that I was "a customer of theft protect services" -and promptly booted off the line. Further attempts to call resulted in busy signals or false dial tones. They are sorely mistaken if they believe I will just "lie down" and not pursue this...
