We borrowed a payday loan from Loan Shop/DMS on 1/18/08 in the amount of $300.00. During the process of filling out the application for this loan, there was nothing in the paperwork referring anywhere to Identify Theft Protection Services as being part of the loan. On 1/23/08, a charge appeared on my checking statement (I check my statement on line everyday) in from Identity Theft Protection Agency in the amount of $31.98. I called my bank and they were unfamiliar with this charge and asked if I could try to look them up on the internet, but irregardless they would be happy to assist us if need be. I was able to find their name, phone number and phsical address by searching just a small amount of time and I called their center @ 866-883-4987. The first gentleman asked me if I had filled out an application for a payday loan recently to which I said we did but I had never given IDPROSUP permission to gain access to our bank account. I told him I wanted our money put back in our bank account immediately, that there were numerous complaints listed against them, and I was contacting the Better Business Bureau. While I was still talking, the representative hung up the phone on me. I called back and the next representative was nice enough, but I wanted to speak with a manager. He asked me if there wss anything he could assist me with and I said no; I wanted to speak with one of their managers. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes and no one came to the phone.
