Our family needed to apply for cash until payday. If you have attempted this online, you know that you never get the same place twice. They have you go through many, many questions to then send an array of different 'loan companies' that will give you a payday loan. Hidden somewhere in the long questionaires there must be a box to click on or off to allow them to deduct from your bank account, a fee. Or if you are one of the "lucky" ones, like me, you will be charged from two or three companies for things such as: a payday loan resource center (so that you may go directly to the "loan companies"), an ID theft protection agency, or another ID theft protection agency. I was one of the " lucky" ones who has been charged $31.98 for the first ID protection agency, $19.95 for the second ID theft protection agency, and $7.99 for the payday loan resource center. All of which the funds were not in the bank so I was charged $35.00 for each for overdraft fees. So now, when I get my payday loan of say $300.00 to help our family with groceries until payday, I immediately will lose $105.00 in overdraft fees and the $31.98, $19.95 and $7.99 for the monthly charges to protect me from ID theft two times over and so that I may go to the resource center for another payday loan. That was a great help with feeding my family. I do not understand how people like this can lay down at night and not feel guilty about screwing people over like this. I have called all of the numbers to cancel the memberships and have stopped them from charging me again but they must 'investigate' the instance to determine if I will be refunded for the different services. I did not want any of the services and called them immediately since I received a notice of overdraft to cancel their services but will have to wait to be determined if I qualify for a refund??? A refund of fees that should not have been deducted in the first place&let alone the overdraft fees. Well, I can say one thing about these companies... They probably know all about ID theft and can prevent you from these people. After all, they are stealing from honest people everyday.
And guess what else? When I go online to cancel all of these memberships, you get the same online support company even though you are on different sites, the support company that cannot handle your refund but will 'chat' with you after hours, is the same people. Imagine that! Could it be that it is the same people with many, many different scams? Sounds like it to me. What do you think? Times are hard enough, we should not have to watch every line, box, click and pop up to prevent theives from legally stealing our money. I deters anyone from using the internet to purchase anything, or to utilize services that some honest people find they need every now and again.
