Paypal is a great service, but be warned unless you use a credit card, there is no fraud protection. I ordered an home Based Refund Recovery Software program, and paid through paypal, which is linked to my checking account. I read reports here about Refund Recovery scams, and started getting suspicious.
This company is was based in New York, but phone numbers listed were either not in service, or linked back to a computer company in Sunnyvale, CA. There was also no response from email. I contacted paypal my email and by phone, and even spoke to a supervisor, all of which told me, "UNLESS YOU PAID WITH A CREDIT CARD, THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO" I was able to put a stop payment on the transaction through my bank, which ultimately cancelled the transaction with PayPal, but that cost me $18 to do so.
Buyer beware when using paypal, make sure you are 100% sure of the person whom you are paying, and pay by credit card. Their attitude is what surprised me, they could care less, even when told I had tried to contact the company, and told them the phone numbers were fraudulent as well. They said oh well, and gave me they option to file a complaint with them, but I could not file until after the transaction had cleared, so basically YOU HAVE TO GET SCREWED in order to file a complaint.
