I bid on a camera on EBAY and won it, I paid through PAYPAL right after the auction. EBAY sent me an email telling me NOT to pay it as that user's account was cancelled. It was fraudulent. I went into PAYPAL to cancel the payment as it was in the "UNCLAIMED" status but PAYPAL went ahead and paid it anyway (they just told me that the SELLER is the only one who has the right to cancel the payment not the buyer, it's like PAYPAL gives the seller (who is fraudulent) total control over my credit card, this is outrageous!
Paypal does not cover the funds at all and the person Michelle Santos of Providence Rhodes Island made off with my $84.25 thanks to PAYPAL saying I could not cancel the payment only the seller. Even after ebay said not to go through with the transaction. I thought Ebay and paypal were joined companies. You are at risk with paypal just as if you don't use them. They are just making money off of you to do the transactions for you are you are STILL at the same high risk and even more with PAYAL because they give the seller/fraud control over your credit card. It says BUYER's PROTECTION on your account page, but don't be fooled as they are trying to do with you, they will not cover any funds not recovered from the fraudulent user's account.
