Paypal
Has various schemes and does support fraud, ripoff!

I am writing this complaint because I am kicking myself in the butt.in I made a purchase using Paypal with a VERIFIED seller. This verified seller took my money and used a fraudulent address to do it. I decided at that moment NEVER to use paypal again. I lied and I am paying for it.

Last week, I made a LARGE purchase from an paypal seller, the person turned out to be a fraud. The person all but admitted it but told paypal that she had provided me with the promised services. Of course, she did not provide me with anything.

The complaint remains with paypal but, after the incident, I decided this time to immediately go to my bank. Basically, the bank CANCELLED my debit card and will allow me to file an affidavit stating that the transaction was fraudulent. The money will be conditionally placed back into my account. I am sure the seller can contest it so I am not sure what the outcome will be but the buyers do have options.

If paypal is screwing with your accounts do the following:
1. Close all bank accounts
2. Cancel all credit cards
3. Cancel all debit cards

Before doing all of this, try to zero out your account with paypal. Go to "withdraw" funds and then transfer the money to your bank or request a check.in all cases, NEVER leave money in your paypal account for more than 3 days. If paypal steals some money, at least it will be only 3 days worth as opposed to ALL your money.

Now, as a seller, I also just got screwed by paypal. The buyer sent the payment and I mailed the package. Paypal then tells me I cannot accept the payment because I am not a verified seller. At this point, the package has already been mailed.

I inform Paypal by phone that I am not a business but I need them to go in and allow me to accept the money; they tell me just to file "negative" feedback if the buyer refuses to mail me the payment. Why exactly have all my other payments gone through but all of a sudden this particular one requires me to be a premier seller?

I am kicking myself but I KNEW not to use Paypal and did it anyway.in addition, Paypal makes you forego your rights by agreeing to arbitration. For anyone out there, please do not use paypal and advise those you know not to use it either.
