Terminated my account with zero explanation too, but there is a twist

Yeah, in March I was axed too. After 5 postal letters, and two internet letters. (wasn't sent to an email address from me but on the web site). I still do not have an explanation. I received one letter, and during some phone calls. They both stated Violation of Terms of Usage or something to that effect. That was it. On the phone they told me to write to the Virginia address.

I do not know what I could have done. I had not changed my Internet actions. I had five different email address. One was the primary address. Two of them have a special reason. One of them was just a funny saying combined from my niece, and cousin. Then the other one was really for when I wanted to be online but hide from everyone else.

What KILLS me is that they know for sure that I have another AOL account. Oh by the way the first account was free. I like some of the features of AOL, honestly. Plus it is away to be connected to family and friends that have AOL.in less than 24 hours of establishing this second account. I switched it to a free account. I do not need to pay them for anything when I have another DSL provider.

One month later I decided to check my Checking Account. There was a charge for $25.90 from AOL. I contacted them as soon as I could. They said they do not allow the Free (setup) any longer. They charge you regardless, if within like 90 (/-) days if you are not satisfied then you might get your refund.

I was told that I could dispute the charges, and it would go to the "Review Board" for approval. I told the person that was not right of AOL to steal a person's money. Especially when they do not even use the Services from AOL.

I was told to contact them back in so many days to find out if I was approved for the refund. They told me to call back again. Then finally this email shows up. I sent it to someone else to see if I was reading it correctly.in about 3 billing cycles I should receive my money. Depending on how the payment was stolen it might take 3-5 days for it to appear on my statement.

Oh and because I filed a complaint with the BBB. I received like three calls from AOL. Basically it was about if I had anymore questions, and they my money was going to be refunded.

So I again I decided to look at my Checking Account for something else. There was the credit. I was so completely confused.

I set up my Sister's AOL account. My brother-in-law called me and whatever to know what is the charge on AOL. I said it is free. He said well, I am noticing this $4.95 charge. He said something else brought it to his attention. I was like well when I come down there tomorrow. I will look at the account to see what it was.

I called AOL the first time. My sister and I was confused on the method that established the account. I thought it was the debit card. The lady told me it was not right. That I need to contact this other number. I was hot because of her Customer Service. So I just hung up. I called back after confirming the method. This guy said he HAD to speak to her. I said she is not available. I said whatever you need answered. I can answer it. He insisted the had to talk to her. So I just hung up the phone. Then on the third call this guy said the same thing. I insured him I could answer whatever needed to be answered. So finally I gave her the phone. She does not like dealing with this issues. Two or three questions that I new the answer. Anyway, what got me on this the first lady was going to issue a refund, but this third guy said a refund could not be issue.

So all in all. You have nothing to gain from AOL, and a whole lot to lose.
