Mother trying to support her family after abandoned by husband saw this as an opportunity to get on her feet

I had seen this ad (mind you it said something about being seen on NBC or CBS one of the news stations) about making money using internet from home. My husband recently abandoned our family and is not helping with any support. I thought that for $2.97 I could give this opportunity a try. Little did I know that 3 days later they would charge my account $74.97 cents. A week later I happened to be checking my bank account and found this charge. This was not stated anywhere in the ad and nor would I have signed up for it because that amount was going to pay a bill that I owe and that was all the money I really have in my checking account.

When I tried to call and talk with someone about they said, that it was stated that this would happen if I did not cancel in 3 days, she offered me a maintenance plan for just 2.97 a month. I explained to her that I not feeling comfortable about this and I am not going to use their services, the woman told me that I would have to talk to billing dept to get a refund. So I asked to be transferred to the billing. She said that she wasn't able to transfer because they were so busy now that I should call back tomorrow. I couldn't believe it. Call back tomorrow! And then she disconnected me. So I quickly called back and pushed #2 for the billing dept. And rec'd the recording that all lines were busy, that they would get to my call in the order rec'd. Well I waited and waited and waited finally after about 10 minutes a guy came on said they were really busy and he took my name and number and said someone would get back to me in about 30 minutes. I waited all day no call from them. So I called first thing the next morning. Dialed in #2 and someone I thought from the billing dept. Answered. I explained what had happened and asked for a refund, I was told again that I could not get a refund and that somehow I got customer service again, she was very sympathetic but explained only billing dept. Could do so, I told her that I feel like this is a scam and I want my money returned, so let me speak to the billing dept. The call was lost, Hmm! Interesting. I immediately called back and pressed the infamous #2 button for the supposedly billing dept. Again I rec'd someone in customer service. I upfrontly told her I wanted my money back and if she could not help me I wanted to speak with her supervisor. She told me that she saw the account was canceled and that she would switch me to someone who could help. That person I proceeded to discuss, so I could not get a refund period. I asked again to speak to a superior and was told no one there that could handle this and mysteriously I was no longer connected to them again. Realllyyyyy! I think it is terrible in these economic times and personal tradgedies due to the economic problems that there are people out there to take advantage of the poor in spirit. I am sending out an email to all friends and family members to spread the news about these scam artist so no one else will lose their money.
