I got service with Transcend Broadband in January. I moved to another location in January. I paid $52.95 a month. 49.95 for service and 3. For a paper bill each month.initially, Transcend would automatically deduct from a credit card. I maxed the card out and Transcend tried to deduct the monthly fee but the card was declined. I asked if I could pay by check. Transcend said yes for a 3 dollar service fee.
When I got paid on the first of every month, I would send a check to Transcend. The money would not reach their office by the due date, therefore my service was cut off. When they got the check, they would turn the service back on. The bill was generally due by the 2nd or 3rd. For three or four months, I would not have service for up to 6 days a month. They would not credit me during the time my service was off. I finally started mailing the payment on the 29th or 30th of the month and I would have no interruption in service.
The due date for the bill was the 2nd or 3rd cut off if late. The bill is mailed out around the 20th of each month.
January 20 thru Feb 2 or 3 is 13 or 14 days.
I had to pay for Feb by 3rd.
I had the service turned off on May 28th. That was 8 days of service of which I owed. Transcend says I owe them 18 dollars and some change. All the days I paid for service and within some months did not have service was not credited for non service. I believe there should have been enough credit to pay for 8 days of service.
It is a ripoff. Most companies will credit you for missed service.
