I bought a Toshiba Hard Drive for safe keeping of 8 yrs woth of family photos. I bought the drive on 2/7, brought it home, transferred over 3500 pictures of my children & family photos only to have the drive crash 3 days later. I contacted Toshiba, they wont help me out. They are willing to repair it, but say it's up to me to try and get the pics recovered. I can't afford it, it's upwards of $500-$1500 depending on the time involved to get this done. I exhausted all of my efforts to get it resolved with Toshiba. This is what I was told my the supervisor.
"Dear Customer,
Toshiba is not liable for any loss data. You will need to take it to a data recovery center to have your data removed.
