Toshiba cannot fix my laptop!

I bought a Toshiba M35X-S311 Laptop in 2004. I also purchased the extended 3-year warranty. I've sent my laptop to Toshiba at least 7 times - they've replaced the motherboard several times. We then received info on the "class-action lawsuit" and were told we had to do nothing to be included. It was finally settled - we received a $35 coupon to use towards a Toshiba purchase. My computer is down once again - I cannot get the system recovery disk to work - I keep getting error 437 - I've been told it's probably the hard drive & don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on this piece of junk. Toshiba also informed me I could not renew my extended warranty because of the lawsuit. This thing has been broken more than it's worked. I will not buy Toshiba anything anymore, however, I will buy something within the next couple of weeks.
