My "new" TOSHIBA laptop hard drive died on me after 2 months of the initial purchase. I called Toshiba, after numerous attempts they finally sent me the packaging to send to their repair depot. The laptop was supposedly damaged when it got to the depot - however, I took pictures to prove it was fine the same day I sent it back to them. I sent them the pictures and they ignored my emails, phone calls, etc...
They made me file a claim against the overnight carrier because the package was supposedly damaged, even though Toshiba's depot couldn't provide me any pictures of the damaged packaging. I waited 2.5 months for this to get resolved, after numerous (probably 20) calls to their customer service dept - speaking to their so called "managers" who all said they would get right on it. Time just kept ticking away and away, etc...
Then I call the overnight carrier and find out that Toshiba was paid on MY claim 3 weeks ago, prior to my call! Toshiba kept my money! Toshiba never called me and it's like torture to get anything out of them about the incident.
