On August 20th I purchased and HP Pavilion for my son, an Airforce ROTC Cadet at College. The HP was purchased at Circuit City.
In October the computer began to fail and would not reboot. Circuit City took the computer back and sent it to HP for repair. We were given an HP Customer Service Number. The computer was returned to Circuit City and they confirmed that a new motherboard was placed in the laptop. Circuit City also stated that the computer was still not working but that they would no longer be handling the case. They suggested we deal directly with HP. Circuit City was willing to write up a report that the computer was not functioning when returned.
We contacted HP directly and were given another CSO number and the computer was fedexed to HP repair. At the end of December HP contacted us and indicated that they would not repair the unit stating that it was beyond economical repair. After several rude phone conversations and hangups by customer service we were called back by a manager who claimed their was Water Damage found.
The computer was never used by us after the initial repair. A repair that never worked.
