The magicjack that I ordered did not work from the minute that I got it. Every call that I tried to make sounded like a bad cellphone call that kept breaking up real bad. The only help that I could get was a live chat. When one person couldn't figure out how to help me, they would pass me on to the next 'tech' at a supposedly higher level.
I did this several days and then would give up and then chat some more to try to fix it. I was on the chat, usually, for hours at a time while I was passed from one person to another to another to another. It was so frustrating that I wanted to scream, but I kept politely patient in hopes that someone would soon fix the problem so that I could use this thing.
Finally, the last time I tried this 'chat help', after almost a month of having a non-working magicjack, I went on a chat to try again to fix it that lasted over 3 hours! I finally ended up with a supervisor who said that I could send it back and they would send me a new one... Then he went on to inform me that he had just charged my credit card AGAIN!!! Totally without my permission!!! According to him, they had to charge me until they got the old one back!
Needless to say, I went nuts! After all, I use that bank account for my bills and there is only enough in there at one time for just the bills that I owe, and this would cause my account to be overdrawn! I lost it... Telling him how dare he take money from my account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!
He said that I shouldn't worry because the charge went through fine... Yes, of course it did!!! The money that was in there was for my house payment, that would be going through that night... That would be sure, now, to bounce!!! Good grief! How could a company be this dishonest??? Putting a charge through my bank and then telling me that they did it???
Well, I told him that he better reverse it right that minute or I would be calling my lawyer the next day... Trust me folks, this is a sneaky, dishonest company. Check your bank account if you have dealt with them, and don't be fooled by their cute little commercials.
I am now out almost $50.00 and still no phone service... By the way, don't try booting your computer up with the magic jack plugged into it. My computer kept trying to boot from it and so I had to stop it and unplug it every time I shut down.
I will be letting the BBB know tomorrow what they did and I will call my lawyer also. I hate companies that are dishonest, just like you do.
