Broadbandoffers.com internet fraud DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! Sent brand new modem back and I was refused refund!

Ordered and paid $89.90 for cable modem from BROADBANDOFFERS.com because website said broadband was available at my home through Charter Communications. My credit card was charged and modem was delivered. Contacted by Charter Communication by phone and was told no service was available in my area, but they would send another service rep out to see if anything could be done to service my home. Cable internet was only 1/4 mile away. After repeatedly sending more than 8 emails and several un-productive phone calls, I asked how to send back the modem for a refund since service was not available. Finally 4 months later I received an email explaining a return label was in the box. I had never even opened the modem box and looked inside so I had no idea the return label was inside.

The email is as follows from Broadbandoffers —There is a prepaid return label inside of box which goes on the outside of box, on the shipping invoice down where is says reason code mark R01 are not sericeable then put back in box, then contact DHL for pick up or drop of at DHL location. Once the modem arrives back at the warehouse and process back in then you will receive credit back to account.

Sincerely,

I returned the modem (which was still in the plastic and never opened via DHL to Broadbandoffers.com. After confirmation of modem being received by broadbandoffers.com I emailed and asked when would I receive my refund? The reply email told me that I would not receive ANY REFUND because I decided not to take advantage of the offer and it had been over 90 days. I am taking all of this information to my bank and requested they credit my account for this charge because I have returned the item and I have proof it was received by broadbandoffers.com and they cannot keep the modem and my MONEY. What kind of business does this? I paid $89.90 to Broadbandoffers.com and I have nothing for my money. I am sure this happens hundreds of times on a daily basis and I do believe this is an internet scam. Many consumers do not take the time to report this to the proper authorities because it is such a hassle but this is Internet Fraud and MUST be stopped. I reported Broadbandoffers.com and Charter Communications to the Government Internet Fraud site and they contacted Broadbandoffers.com. Broadband offers.com responded to this government site by saying the following:
