I just spent $200.00 dollars to have Geek Squad (aka Scam squad) remove the antispywareXP 2009 Virus. Not only did they NOT remove the virus, they removed ALL networking capabilities and most of my executable files, rendering my computer completely useless. I contacted them to discuss.
Their "Mission control" department eventually dumped me off to a "Public Defender" that wouldn't offer any help. All she said was I should contect the store (Dekalb, IL) to discuss the issue. I contacted the store and they told me that ANY time they remove a Virus they ALWAYS remove all networking capabilities so there will be less of a chance of the virus returning. They did this without discussing it first with me and without my approval. NEVER, EVER take your computer to GEEK Squad for repair.
There is obviously a reason these crooks work in a discount store and are not professionally employed. They are children - there to take advantage of customers in their time of need.
