In June of this year I too was having trouble with my lap top. Under a warranty I had paid several hundred dollars for. The lap top is two years old. I took the lap top in to the Clearwater store and had been told when I bought the warranty it would cover any problems even a new screen if broken, virus's etc. And the geek squad would fix it on the spot and at the store. No way they said, "as I explained I believe it has a virus". They would not even pick up my lap top to look at it.
With warranty and receipt in my hand. They simply said, "we do not fix a virus." I was not even certain it was a virus. They proceded to tell me, "to leave the lap top and it would be $139.00 charge to start to fix it!" I was furious. And said so. It is not by Chance the store check in, "guards" are right by the geek squad shop!
NEVER A Best Buy geek again.
