On Sept. 8th I was gone picking my kids up from school and when I returned my mom told me that my husband had 3 phone calls within 15min. And the man on the phone was very rude to them, telling my parents that they better get a pencil and write the number down! Well obviously they didn't know who my mom was cause she gave them a few choice words and they didn't call back until this morning Sept. 10th. Today my husband was home and able to take the call, A man introduced himself as Edger Paul saying he needed to collect a debt for an online payday loan (my husband had a hard time understanding him because of his thick Indian accent) that we never received. When my husband was talking to him he demanded that he pay it today or else the police would be at his job tomorrow. I asked my husband to let me speak to him thinking I could be the voice of reason, well I was Very Wrong... When I started to ask simple questions he would put me on hold for 5 to 10 min. And return asking me about sending them $1,395.00. I asked him what was the companies name and told me he didn't know because there was over 300 companies that make the loans, so I asked when we got this loan and he only said 2006. So I asked how much the original loan was for and he said $300-$400, so I said which one is it and why they waited almost 4 years to call? He couldn't answer that question. Well after going around and around with good ole' Edger I asked to speak to a supervisor, and after a 10min hold a man named Vickie Bennett got on the line (which struck me as odd because it was clearly a man) ruder then the first one demanding payment, this time he was reading a loan application that we did submit but was turned down because of my husbands credit. So I explained to him that we never got it because he has poor credit, so I asked him "Do you make loans to people with poor credit", and he said No. I then told him "Well my husband has 10 or more creditors that has totally messed up his credit". He then told me that "I know your not going to pay this so I don't want to talk anymore to you" so I said can I speak to his supervisor and he told me "I am the supervisor here" and I asked "well can I have the attorney's name that has this case" and he told me "Vickie Bennett" so I said I thought you were Vickie Bennett and he said I am, and he got a little flustered and hung up on me... I got on the phone and called my local BBB and they directed me to the BBB in San Diego Ca. Because of the phone number, so I called them and they stated that they don't have any record of this company (so no complaints) but I should file a complaint with them and my States Consumer Affairs to start a paper trail, So I am going to send this report to both companies. I hope that no one falls victim to this BS company and I hope that they get what they deserve...
