My husband and I are going through a horrible experience with Idenitiy Theft, one of the companies that was contacted and disburted funds was Loan Shop. The Theft "had" our bank account number along with my husbands drivers license. The crook got a two payday loans deposited into our bank account and attempted to withdraw the funds. We contacted the bank and police once everything was filtered out that wasnt ours we began contacting the companies, Loan Shop reps were rude and right out accused us of trying to get out of the payday loan, it took five phone calls to speak to someone with some common sense.
Loan Shop could care less about the consumer, their only concern is who is going to repay the money. If ever you need a payday loan beware of Loan Shop, they are rude and unprofessional and basically have poor methods to establish they are providing services to the correct person... When asked what methods they relied on to prevent fraud i was told that they are sure they lent the money to my family because they called and verified employment!!!
When my husband asked his supervisor if any one ever called to verify employment for him from their company he was told NO, so obviously the criminal had a scheme for employment verification as well. How hard is it to get someone to answer a phone and pretend to be an employer??!!! Beware
