I called Reader's Digest sometime ago, stating that I did not owe them any money, because I had returned the books that they sent me, the very next day after they arrived.in a couple of weeks, I again, recieved a bill. I wrote them, explaining, that I returned these books, and that I even had the proof. I still have my post office return slip. I made a copy, and wrote them telling them that I did not owe for these books. Now, again, today, for the third time, I received yet, another letter, and it states:
This is a Collection Agency Warning! Respond promptly by sending your payment today, or your account will be turned over to a collection agency. This is the last notice you will receive directly from Reader's Digest about this delinquent account. Further collection efforts will be undertaken on our behalf by an independent collection agency.
