Shipped a damaged paid-in-full scooter to a person with disability and refuses to take responsibility for damage

On July 24th, my disabled mother purchased a scooter from Legion Global. She ordered a blue LG 500 Deluxe Mobility Scooter with basket and paid $658.96.

A semi-truck arrived on August 6 and unloaded it on the street at the end of her long driveway. He wasn't patient, nor eager to wait the length of time it would have taken for my step father (65) to un pack and inspect the scooter. The box was not damaged. So he dropped it off and left.

My father arranged to get the large box from the end of the driveway into the garage. When they opened the box, the body of the "silver" scooter was cracked.

My father immediately reported the damage to Legion Global who placed a claim with the shipper they contracted. The shipper denied the claim and therefore, Legion Global is refusing to replace the scooter or return the $658.96.

They have gone back and forth with my father stating they'll send a replacement part, but ultimately they've done nothing and now they are not returning phone calls.

My disabled mother paid for a scooter she needs for mobility and this company has taken advantage of her by refusing to do the right thing and give her what she paid for. The only acceptable thing this company can do at this point is send a new scooter or return her money with an apology.
