I ordered a pocketbook from this website. The day I received the bagit was yellow and dingy (it was supposed to be a white bag). The same day I sent an email requesting information on how to return the item. It took 4emails before they would give me the information on how to return it. I finally received an email stating "In the interest of customer service I will allow you to return your order for a refund".
The day I finally received the information on how to return the item, I complied with their instructions to the letter - including sending the bag back to them via Fedex at my cost. They stated I wouldn't get a return until 30 days later.
During the 30 day timeframe I checked in periodocally as to the status of my refund. The only information I would receive is that it's with the billing department. I kept thinking how ridicules this is - they took my money immediately upon ordering, but couldn't get it back in what I deem a reasonable timeframe.
30 days came and went. I emailed every day (can't reach customer service by phone) I kept getting the same response that it was with the billing department. I ended up filing a fraud claim with my bank and sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in New York. I took 3 weeks once I filed the claim with the BBB, but I finally received a credit today.
Next time I shop with any online company that I can't verify immediately as being "reputable", I will be smart enough to check the BBB and consumer advocacy groups such as usacomplaints.com.
