I bought HP Pavilion a1710n in January at the Military Exchange in Stuttgart, Germany. (I also own HP PDA, HP Printer, and an HP scanner) I applied for the $50 rebate within two days. After 5 long distance international phone calls and half a dozen emails I still do not have my rebate.
I was told that the first check was returned undelivered - even though I confirmed that HP had my correct address. I asked them to resend. When after another 6 weeks went by, I spoke with Jason who was rude. He refused to connect me with his supervisor - or even give me a phone number -Jason said I'd have to get that from "the web page... Company policy."
I next reached Deborah who was very pleasant, looked up my rebate status - and said that the check had been sent on the 29th of May. I find that hard to believe as today is the 5th of July - normal mail to APO is 7-10 days.
Another minor complaint - system was advertised with PCI-Express, but to use slot, I had to buy a new power supply.
Overall, this has been such a bad experience, I'll never buy another HP product (including printer supplies)- and would recommend others avoid HP.
