Rebate ripoff fraudulent promised billing

Broadbandoffers.com promised Comcast internet service for $19.95 per month for the first six months after buying their cable modem, as well as a $49.95 rebate on the modem.

The first months bill from Comcast was $42, and they stated that Broadbandoffers.com is a third party biller that does not have Comcast permission to make such offers.

Secondly, after submitting all the required materials to get the rebate, they say they did not receive the UPC code that was cut from the box. All other materials were received. But not the bulky piece of cardboard that contained the UPC code. I still have the box it was cut from, and I distinctly remember how the cardboard filled out the envelope when I packaged it.

Their representative said they were not responsible for lost or stolen mail. Yes, as a matter of fact, you are responsible if it was "lost or stolen" in your mail dept. It just seems very evident that Broadbandoffers.com is in the regular practice of making fraudulent promises on cable billing, and they deceive consumers concerning rebate offers. Since the amount of these offers are significant in large numbers, something should definitely be done about this company. I will most certainly participate in anything that can be brought against them.
