Recently I ordered a few items from their online store. I wanted to receive the items in time for Valentine's Day, so I asked for Next Day Air shipping, because the web site had a message on it that informed me I would not receive my items in time if I ordered the standard, $4.95 shipping.
I was unaware that the company is in Palmetto, only a few minutes away from my own home in Tampa.
When I received the package the next day, I noticed it had been shipped UPS Ground. I called UPS to verify that this was indeed the case.
Whoever shipped the package noticed that I was located in Tampa, changed the shipping to Ground, and still proceeded to charge me for next day air shipping to the tune of over $36.
Since I received Ground shipping and not Next Day Air, I due a refund of the difference in shipping charges. Their standard shipping is $4.95.
They didn't pay the extra money for shipping to UPS - apparently they're keeping that extra thirty dollars they made off of me. If I had known the close proximity of the shipping origin, and IF THE WEBSITE HADN'T WARNED ME NOT TO SELECT STANDARD SHIPPING, I would not have ordered Next Day Air.
The company is not cooperating with me and must really need that extra thirty bucks they made off of me. I have filed a report with the State Attorney's office because this is fraud.
