I sent in rebates for $30 and $90 to OnRebate from a purchase made at Globalsupplies/TigerDirect.com. The rebates were sent in June.
I have not received these rebates to date in spite of a check pending status issued on 6/27/06. I have e-mailed onrebate 3 times and called 4 times.
I have been told the following from onrebate:
- 9-13-06 sent e-mail to check status
- 9/25/06 verify address (it was clearly on the rebate form)
- 10/10/06 forwarding to accounting and supervisor should pay within 10-14 days
- 10/24/06 sent check
- 11/19/06 sent e-mail no response from onrebate
- 11/21/06 check not mailed forwarding to supervisor again call back in 1 week
- 12/1/06 10am called supervisor Nicky Thomas, I was told she was in a meeting call back at 11:00am.
- 12/1/06 11am called back put on hold for 57 minutes then told that Nicky Thomas would call me back ASAP.
- 12/1/06 5:45pm No callback, so I called onrebate and was informed that Nicky Thomas had gone home 2 hours ago! I left a voice message for Nicky Thomas and I am now waiting for a return call.
Part of the onrebate logo states "Fast Reliable Rebates" —this is a joke— as I find them to be neither "fast" nor "reliable".
I suggest that if onrebate is involved with a purchase. DON'T DO IT! It is not worth the hassle no matter how good the deal is.
This seems to me to be a fraudulent rebate and I am getting the run around from onrebate.
