I ordered a Hard Drive from Tiger Direct back in June that came with a $50 rebate. The rebate was handled through a company called Onrebate that appears to do nothing but process rebates. Tigerdirect told me that all inquiries should go through them. I filled out all appropriate paperwork and submitted it. I was promptly given a tracking number to check the status of my rebate, and everything looked great.
Two momnths later, still no rebate. My status was showing that I had done everygthing correctly and it was just waiting to process my check. I contacted onrebate and they said my status should update as payment sent, within 24 hours, and if not to contact them and they would personally send me a check. I contacted them a week later and they said I had to call them.
Multiple calls later, I was assured they had everything they needed from me, but I might want to switch to Paypal since it only takes two weeks to process through them. I did and a month later still haven't received my rebate. What's more, when I switched to Paypal it reset my status and they are now saying I need to send them in the documentation (upc, receipt) for the rebate, which I ALREADY sent them.
I have never had so much trouble getting a rebate. Tigerdirect outsources their rebate process so they refuse to answer any questions about, instead sending everyone to onrebate.com
