I, too, was not allowed to cancel my subscription to PEOPLEPC. I have had the most aggravating interactions with their staff whom are all virtually incompetant and unable to effect any changes.
Now PeoplePC is harassing me to pay them even though I purchased a 4 month block which I cancelled after two weeks as their service was very slow (no refund, of course). If you are with them and you want to cancel, I recommend cancelling your credit card.
My sincere advise to you is to not do business with them as they are unethical and adhere to substandard business practices. If there ever is a class action suit against them, I'd like to be included. I hope they go out of business soon.
